Arkadiusz Milik robbed on his way home after UCL win
After your team valiantly defeats a supposedly stronger side in the most coveted club competition in the world, you would want to go home and enjoy the moment with your family. However, Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik did not have such a happy ending to his day. Last night, while returning home, after Napoli's win against Liverpool, he was held at gunpoint and robbed.
Details of the unfortunate incident
After the match, Milik left the stadium for his home when his car was stopped by a motorcycle, which was blocking the road. The two thieves, reportedly, held the footballer at gunpoint and stole his Rolex Daytona watch worth €7,000. The forward immediately went to the nearest police station after they left and lodged a complaint.
Such incidents are quite common in southern Italy
Milik's case is not the only time such a fate has befallen Napoli footballers. His partner in attack, Lorenzo Insigne, and his wife were also robbed of jewelry, cash and a watch in 2016. Even Napoli's captain, Hamsik, was robbed at gunpoint in Naples a few years ago. Their former striker, Edinson Cavani's ex-wife also faced a similar fate in 2012.
