Bangladesh's Najmul Hossain Shanto has completed 1,500 runs in ODI cricket.

The Bangladesh skipper reached the mark in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy encounter against New Zealand at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Shanto's 12th run in the contest made him unlock this achievement. He came out to bat with Tanzid Hasan after the Kiwis elected to field.

Shanto has been with the Bangladesh side since 2018. He is now leading the side in the ongoing Champions Trophy.
