Mumbai Indians Women were defeated by the Delhi Capitals in match number 2 of the 2025 Women's Premier League on Saturday at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara.
Batting first, MI posted a score of 164/10 in 19.1 overs.
Nat Sciver-Brunt scored an unbeaten 80 from 59 balls. Annabel Sutherland claimed 3/34.
In response, Delhi managed to get past MI's score. They won a last-ball thriller.

Shikha Pandey was excellent for her side. She claimed 2/14 from her 4 overs. In 19 matches, Pandey now owns 21 scalps at 22.33. Her ER reads 6.70.
Sutherland's three-fer from 3.1 overs saw her get to 7 wickets from 9 WPL games. This is her best performance in the WPL.
Minnu Mani managed 1/23 from her 4 overs and proved to be vital.

A look at how DC's innings panned out
DC openers Meg Lanning and Verma added a solid 60-run stand for the first wicket.
The runs came inside the powerplay with Verma hammering 43 runs from just 18 balls.
Two balls later, Lanning perished as well before MI hit back with two more wickets. DC were 76/4 after 8.5 overs.
However, DC took the game close and secured victory in the 2nd.
