    19-year old Rudra Dhanday wrote his name in the history books as he scored a double century in a T20 match off just 67 balls.

    Playing for Rizvi College of Mumbai, Dhanday became the first player to smash a double hundred in an official T20 match, going past West Indies' Chris Gayle who had scored 175 in the 2013 Indian Premier League.

    In the Abis Rizvi Champions Trophy's Super-8 College T20 Tournament match, Dhanday hit 21 fours and 15 sixes to reach the 200-run mark. The tournament, organised by Mumbai University, is backed by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

    Rizvi College register a record 247-run win

    Dhanday was accompanied by Aakarshit Gomel, who scored 63 runs, helping Rizvi College to put on a score of 322 runs against P Dalmia College.

    In reply, Dalmia College could manage to score just 75 runs, and were bowled out in just 10.2 overs by the Rizvi bowlers.

    Rizvi College won the match by a record margin of 247 runs.

    Excited after breaking this record, Dhanday said, "I am speechless. I can't believe I did something like this. I spoke to my dad and he is very happy with my effort. He asked me to carry on the good work as the Mumbai selection trials are around the corner."

    Dhanday had started playing cricket under the guidance of his dad.
