As per Cricbuzz, England's Leslie Ames tops this elite list. He made his Test debut for England way back in 1929, against South Africa at The Oval. Though he bagged a duck in his first outing, the batter performed exceedingly well in his next few assignments. By the end of his sixth Test, Ames had 571 runs.
Jamie Smith - 487 runs
Smith is next on this list as the dasher has been exceptional since making his maiden Test appearance against West Indies earlier this year. In six matches, Smith now owns 487 runs at 48.70. The 67 against Sri Lanka was his 3rd fifty. He has also scored a century in England whites. Moreover, Smith has scored these runs at a strike rate of 74.12.
Adam Gilchrist - 485 runs
Adam Gilchrist is one of the greatest wicket-keepers ever. He hence was bound to be on this list. The Australian is not much behind Smith in terms of runs in the first six Tests. The southpaw had 485 runs in this regard. He finished his celebrated career with 5,570 runs across 96 Tests at a remarkable average of 47.60, including 17 tons.
Lorcan Tucker - 480 runs
Ireland's Lorcan Tucker also makes it to this list. He kick-started his Test career with a brilliant debut century against Bangladesh last year. It was an away match. He thus became just the second Irishman to score a Test ton. Tucker finished his sixth Test with 480 runs at 43.63. His tally also includes two fifties besides that solitary ton.
