WWE: Preview and predictions for Money in the Bank 2019
WWE will be hosting its first pay-per-view post WrestleMania 35, Money in the Bank. While the event would be headlined by two MITB ladder matches, it is set to witness a number of top feuds and matches. With almost every championship on the line as well, we bring you the preview and last-minute predictions for this event.
Can Rey Mysterio win his first-ever US Championship?
The rivalry between Samoa Joe and Rey Mysterio has been escalating ever since WrestleMania. Moreover, Mysterio's son Dominic has also been getting involved on-screen. Thus, we expect things to become personal during this tie. Further, having completed WWE's Grand Slam, it would be interesting to see if Mysterio can complete a Golden Slam by winning the US title. Prediction: Joe retains the title.
Will The Miz become the new Best in the World?
This is another feud that has become personal. While Shane stood tall during their Falls Count Anywhere match at WrestleMania 35, Shane wasn't done there as he continued to attack Miz's father. Certainly, Miz is far from done with Shane as they will fight it out inside a steel cage this time, where Miz could become the 'new best'. Prediction: Miz wins the title.
Will Roman Reigns Walk with Elias?
Roman Reigns has started a feud with the McMahons after he superman-punched Vince on the night he arrived on SmackDown during Superstar Shakeup. Elias is mainly feuding with Reigns, as he believes he is bigger than Reigns. He has also been getting some backup from the B-Team. It would be interesting to see what Reigns has under his sleeve. Prediction: Reigns wins the match.
Will Becky Lynch fall one belt short?
Becky Lynch made history at WrestleMania 35 when she became the first woman to hold both Raw and SmackDown Women's Championship at the same time. However, she has a target on her back as Lacey Evans wants to clinch the Raw title. It should also be noted that although conniving, Lacey has the potential to dethrone Becky. Prediction: Lacey wins (by Charlotte's interference).
Will Charlotte Flair have her WrestleMania revenge?
Charlotte Flair is already an eight-time Women's champion. However, her last reign was cut short as Becky outsmarted her to win both the titles at WrestleMania. Having earned her rematch, Charlotte would look to end Becky's reign of two belts, and as discussed above, she could even cost her the Raw title. Therefore, we feel Becky's night could end in dismay. Prediction: Charlotte wins.
An opportunity of lifetime for Ms. Money in the Bank
The women's ladder match is full of deserving candidates. However, one thing is certain that whoever wins the contract is likely to turn heel in the near future, or even the same night. We believe a heel could win for the third time in a row, while chances are she could cash in the same night over Becky. Prediction: Mandy Rose wins the title.
Will Kofi Kingston KO Kevin Owens?
Kofi Kingston has been on a dream run since the past few months, and winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania has made things even sweeter. However, Kevin Owens feels it is about time that Kofi's undeserving reign comes to an end and he takes over. Having targeted his New Day team-mates, Kofi would do anything to retain the Championship. Prediction: Kingston retains the title.
Will Raw become the new house that AJ Styles built?
Former WWE Champion made a shock move to Raw during this Superstar Shakeup. Following his move, he has immediately earned his shot at the Universal Championship. Although he is certainly a championship material, it would be too soon to crown Styles the new champion, especially since Seth Rollins had won it last month. However, there could be interference from Mr. MITB. Prediction: Rollins retains.
An opportunity of lifetime for Mr. Money in the Bank
The MITB match for men has scripted history in the past. Moreover, Hall of Famer Edge has his blueprint on it. The scenario would once again be the same for men as well, as the winner is likely to turn heel. And, since both WWE and Universal champions are face, a heel winning does make the most sense. Prediction: Sami Zayn wins.
