Mominul's maiden Test apperance came against Sri Lanka in 2013 and he scored a half-century on debut. The batter continued to plunder records in Test cricket as in 2015, he became the fifth player in Test history to have eleven consecutive fifty-plus scores. He was also the first Bangladesh batter to score ten Test centuries. He has also led Bangladesh in 17 Tests.
