Duleep Trophy: Jadeja released, Siraj ruled out of first-round match
The Men's Selection Committee has announced several changes to the squads for the first round of the 2024-25 Duleep Trophy. Fast bowler Navdeep Saini will replace Mohammed Siraj in Team B, while Gaurav Yadav will step in for Umran Malik in Team C. Both Siraj and Malik are currently unwell and not expected to recover in time for their respective matches.
Jadeja released from Team B
In addition to the replacements, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been released from Team B. The reasons for his release have not been specified by the committee. These changes come ahead of the tournament's commencement on September 5, 2024. The matches will be held in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh and at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The revised squads for the first round of the tournament have been announced. Team A will be led by Shubman Gill and includes players like Mayank Agarwal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel (WK), KL Rahul, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Tanush Kotian, Kuldeep Yadav among others. Abhimanyu Easwaran will captain Team B that now features Navdeep Saini along with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan.
Team C and D's revised lineups for Duleep Trophy
Team C will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad and includes players like Sai Sudharsan, Rajat Patidar, Abishek Porel (WK), Suryakumar Yadav. Shreyas Iyer will captain Team D that features Atharva Taide, Yash Dubey, Devdutt Padikkal, Ishan Kishan (WK), Ricky Bhui among others.
