Minnu Mani and Jess Jonassen took three wickets each, restricting Mumbai to just 123/9 in 20 overs.
Meanwhile, an unbeaten 60 from skipper Meg Lanning secured the Capitals' win.

Mani, who recorded brilliant figures of 3/17 in three overs, spoke about the team's performance.
She said their success came down to a well-planned strategy and teamwork.

A key player for Delhi Capitals since WPL's inception, Mani credited her improved bowling skills to the guidance from senior players.
"The senior players in the team have been very helpful. Compared to my first and second year, my bowling has improved a lot. They have guided me on how to bowl according to the situation and the batters," the Kerala-bron bowler stated.
This guidance has helped her grow as a cricketer in the team she further added.

Mani also praised team captain Lanning's leadership abilities.
"I admire Meg Lanning a lot, and playing under her has helped me learn so many new things," she said.
"She is always supportive of all the players, both on and off the field," Mani said.

Batting first, MI started well but soon collapsed.
Jonassen and Mani ran through MI's middle order, taking three wickets apiece, restricting them to 123/9 in 20 overs.
Chasing 124, Lanning smashed an unbeaten 60 off 49 balls, while she was supported by Shafali Verma (43 off 28 balls).
The combined effort saw Delhi win by nine wickets (33 balls remaining).
