#GamingBytes: 'Big' PUBG news for Xbox gamers, teases Microsoft
PUBG or PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is extremely popular across platforms for its tactical approach to Battle Royale. In terms of content, PUBG for Xbox is pretty similar to PC version. However, Microsoft will announce something 'big' for PUBG Xbox gamers in this year's X018 event, which will be held on November 10 and 11. Read all about this exciting news here.
What is the X018 event?
The X018 event will be the first iteration of the business centered event conducted by Microsoft. However, this year's version is expected to be more fan-focused as it is taking place at FanFest Mexico City. The event, a global celebration of Xbox, will introduce Forge DLC of 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider' and offer exclusive looks and updates for 'State of Decay 2'.

What could be the big news?
While it is unlikely Microsoft will spoil its surprise with any details before the event, we can hope that it will announce the winter map. The map, which has the working title Dihor Otok, was teased to be a winter map when it was revealed at E3. Since it was slated for a winter release, this might be the big news, which Microsoft teased.
Why does the new map speculation make sense?
While we are only speculating about the winter map reveal, it would make sense for Xbox to get it first. PUBG had a year-long console exclusive deal with Xbox since 2017 and it is about to expire soon and rumors have it that Sony's PS4 is getting its own PUBG version. Logically, Microsoft would like to stay ahead by announcing the new map first.
