Meanwhile, Lasith Malinga's resurgence in the last match, claiming three wickets, makes him a favorite. Further, Deepak Chahar's monumental rise this season helps him seal a spot.

Considering Pandya's all-round form, he should be appointed as the skipper of this XI. As for his deputy, Tahir gets the nod, considering his chances of success on the slow track of Chennai.
