Lionel Messi's night at Anfield gets worse: Here's how
Lionel Messi endured a troubled night at Anfield, following Barcelona's semi-final defeat to Liverpool on Tuesday. However, it was not the end to his woes as Barcelona were in extreme shock following the defeat and the team bus left Messi behind at Anfield. He later joined his team-mates at the airport as a special arrangement was made for him.
Messi fails to score as Barca squander three-goal lead
The Spanish giants, who came into the game with a comfortable three-goal lead post their home leg last week, were the favorites to win the tie. However, the Liverpool defense turned out to be rock solid, making it impossible for Messi to breach. Meanwhile, Liverpool put up a magnificent display to score four goals and send Barca home packing, as Liverpool won 4-0 (4-3).
Messi's procedural dope test takes too long, team bus leaves
Following the match, Messi was called for his procedural dope test. However, the test reportedly took time to finish. As a result, the players got impatient forcing the team bus to leave without him. And, following the regular procedure, special arrangements were made for him to reunite him with his team back at the airport.

Sergio Busquets apologizes to Barca fans
"I apologize. It's tough to go out like this after the first-leg result. Liverpool have been smarter than us, they were faster. I think we had chances to score the goal we needed, but it wasn't meant to be today," said Busquets.
Messi and Co. eye Copa del Rey success
While Barca would be reeling from their horrendous semi-final defeat in the UCL, all is not over for them. They are all set to play Valencia in the final of Copa del Rey on May 25 to have a shot at their second silverware this season. Meanwhile, Liverpool would face either Ajax or English rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the final of UCL.
