Mayank Agarwal registers second consecutive golden duck in Maharaja Trophy
Mayank Agarwal, the captain of Bengaluru Blasters in Karnataka's domestic T20 league, Maharaja Trophy 2024, has been struggling with his form. In Match 16 against Mangalore Dragons, Agarwal was dismissed for a golden duck for the second time in a row. His previous dismissal without scoring came against Hubli Tigers. Abhilash Shetty delivered a full-length ball that took a significant edge off Agarwal's bat and landed safely in the wicket-keeper's hands. Despite Agarwal's lackluster performance, his team has been performing well. Prior to their match against Dragons, they had secured victories in three out of four games, placing them third on the points table.

Bengaluru Blasters's batting lineup struggles and successes
In the top four batters of the Blasters' lineup, both Agarwal and Naveen MG were dismissed without scoring any runs. Bhuvan Raju made two runs. However, opener LR Chethan scored a respectable 30 runs, providing some stability to the innings. Significant contributions also came from Suraj Ahuja who scored 38 off 25 balls and Kranthi Kumar who made 39 off 28 balls before being run out. Their efforts meants the Blasters finished at 144/10 and later won by six runs.
Mangalore Dragons's desperate need for victory
The Mangalore Dragons, led by Shreyas Gopal, are in dire need of a win. They have only won one game out of four so far, with their last match being abandoned due to rain.
