The main focus for Team India has been on who will open alongside Mayank. It was a chance for both Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill to cash in this practice game. Shaw managed 0 and 39. He shared a crucial 72-run stand with Mayank in the second innings. Gill missed the chance after managing 0 and 8. The management might prefer Shaw alongside Mayank.
