Marcus Rashford joins Aston Villa on loan from Manchester United
What's the story
Manchester United's star forward Marcus Rashford has been loaned to Aston Villa until the end of the 2024/25 season.
The move was finalized on the penultimate day of the men's January transfer window.
The decision comes just hours after United confirmed their acquisition of young Danish defender Patrick Dorgu from Italian Serie A club Lecce.

A product of Manchester United's academy, Rashford has enjoyed an illustrious career with the club since his senior debut against FC Midtjylland in 2016.
He has made 426 appearances for United and scored 138 goals. His contributions have helped the team win five major trophies.
This season alone, Rashford has made 24 appearances and netted seven goals for the club.

Rashford's international career and recent performances
Apart from his club career, Rashford has also played for England on the international stage.
He has 60 caps and 17 goals for his country, having played in two European Championships and two World Cups.
His last appearance for United came in their 2-1 Europa League win over Viktoria Plzen in December, where he scored a brace in a 4-0 Premier League win over Everton.
Team changes
Manchester United's recent signings and departures
Rashford's move to Aston Villa comes after United recently signed 20-year-old Danish defender Dorgu from Italian Serie A club Lecce, and 18-year-old defender Ayden Heaven from Arsenal.
His departure also comes after Brazilian forward Antony's loan move to Spanish La Liga side Real Betis earlier in the transfer window.
Despite the changes, Manchester United remain supportive of Rashford in his new journey with Aston Villa.
