How did Yuvraj Singh fare in the T10 League?
The Abu Dhabi T10 League got over on Sunday with Maratha Arabians sealing the title after overcoming Deccan Gladiators. Veteran all-rounder and Arabians skipper Dwayne Bravo (2/16) was instrumental in the win. Notably, Yuvraj Singh was also part of the Arabians side and won the title in his maiden stint in the league. Many feel Yuvi still has it in him to deliver
Former Indian team cricketer Yuvraj is definitely a crowd puller and many feel he still has that fire in his belly to score a lot of runs. Yuvi retired from international cricket earlier this year and expressed his desire to play in leagues outside India. After featuring in the Global T20 Canada, this T10 tourney in Abu Dhabi, was his second affair.
Yuvraj fails to entertain fans in the T10 tourney
The 37-year-old southpaw played five matches for the Arabians in the 2019 edition of the league. He got scores of 6, 14, 23* and 1. In the finale, Yuvi didn't get a chance to bat. With several other stars like Chris Lynn, Kieron Pollard and Shane Watson performing well, Yuvi was nowhere near his mark. Overall, he just managed two fours and four sixes.

Ahead of the final, the league's founder and chairman Shaji Ul Mulk, said Yuvraj pulled had a big impact in the tournament. "We witnessed the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi completely packed with fans from across the world just to see Yuvraj play. It's a dream come true for these fans to witness their hero Yuvraj on the cricket grounds."
How did the T10 League finale pan out?
Shane Watson-led Deccan Gladiators managed a paltry 87/8 in 10 overs. Asif Khan (25*) was the top run-scorer. For the Arabians, Bravo stood out with the ball. Lasith Malinga (1/18) and Mitchell McClenaghan (1/12) did well atop. In reply, the Arabians rode on a brilliant 26-ball 51* by Chadwick Walton. Lynn and Najibullah Zadran scored 16 and 12* respectively.
