The IPL 2019 final turned out to be a thriller, as Mumbai Indians triumphed title holders Chennai Super Kings by a run in Hyderabad on Sunday. While Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma became the most successful skipper in the history of league, another legend MS Dhoni suffered a heartbreak. In the same context, commentator Sanjay Manjrekar shed light on Dhoni's reaction following the loss.

Despite having reached the final, Dhoni was pessimistic about their overall season. He also lamented that while it was a good season, it wasn't great. "As a team, we had a good season. But we need to go back and reflect on how we reached the finals. It's not one of those years where we played really great cricket to reach here," concluded Dhoni.

"The middle order wasn't great, and today it was very funny as to how both teams were only passing on the trophy from one team to the other. Both teams made a lot of mistakes, the team that made one lesser mistake won," Dhoni added.

Manjrekar admitted that Dhoni was heartbroken, as Captain Cool too was not happy following the loss. Yet, the author feels that this is not the end of the road for him. Judging by the current form he is enjoying, Dhoni is a hot favorite for at least one more IPL title before he finally decides to hang up his boots. 'Hopefully yes' in 2020.
