How Manchester United could line-up next season

    What's the story

Manchester United are looking to get back to their glory days.

They are raring to challenge City for the Premier League title next season.

Mourinho has already lined up some big money moves, since United are seeking reinforcements.

With the likes of Gareth Bale, Fred, Toby Alderweireld expected to move to Old Trafford, how will United line-up?

    Here's our prediction.

    Goalkeeper

David de Gea is the undisputed number one

David de Gea has been the best goalkeeper in the English Premier League for the last few seasons.

He will retain his spot as the custodian for the Red Devils.

However, Manchester United might face stern competition from Real Madrid. Los Blancos have been trying to lure the Spaniard to the capital city of Spain.

United know they can't afford to lose him.

Diogo Dalot, Chris Smalling, Toby Alderweireld and Alex Sandro

Right-back Dalot is set to become United's first signing of the summer after his €20 mn release clause was triggered.

Mourinho is also on the hunt for left back and Alex Sandro is his primary target.

The Red Devils have also bid for Spurs centre-back Alderweireld.

Further, Smalling had a fantastic season and he should retain his spot.

Nemanja Matic, Fred and Paul Pogba

There has been a lot of talk about Pogba wanting to leave Manchester United but the Frenchman is unlikely to be sold.

Matic has proved to be one of Mourinho's best signings and he should retain his spot in the middle of the park.

Donetsk's Fred will be the new edition. He is expected to bring in some pace and discipline in the middle.

Gareth Bale, Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku

Manchester United will be looking to make a statement in the transfer market and can sign Gareth Bale to compete with City for the title.

Gareth is unhappy about his game time and might not need much convincing.

January's big signing Alexis Sanchez is yet to prove his worth.

Romelu Lukaku has had a decent run last season scoring some fine goals.
