    What's the story

    The much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be underway on November 22 at the Perth Stadium.

    Australia, the home side, will be raring to claim their first Test series win over India in over a decade.

    Over the years, the two sides have produced some riveting encounters in the longest format.

    Here are the lowest team totals in India-Australia Tests Down Under.

    India: 36 vs Australia, Adelaide, 2020

    India top this list, having recorded a 36-run total in the 2020 Adelaide Test against Australia.

    India initially dominated the Day/Night Test after posting 244. Australia responded with a 191-run total.

    The tourists were then bowled out for 36, their lowest-ever total in Test history. Australia later chased down 90 to win the Test.

    India: 58 vs Australia, Brisbane, 1947

    Before the Adelaide Test, India's lowest total Down Under came in 1947 during the Brisbane match.

    Batting first, the Donald Bradman-led Australia racked up 382/8d in the first innings.

    India were bowled out for a paltry 58 in response. Following-on, the visitors recorded another sub-100 score, this time a modest 98.

    Australia won by an innings and 226 runs.

    India: 67 vs Australia, Melbourne, 1948

    In the same series, India suffered another painful defeat at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

    It was a similar win for Australia, who racked up 575/8d in the first innings. The innings was marked by a 153-run knock from Neil Harvey.

    Vinoo Mankad's ton later powered India to 331. However, India couldn't avoid the follow-on and perished for 67.
