During the interview, Vickers recalled a memorable incident from his New Zealand trip, where he spotted Kohli at the same hotel. He described this experience as surreal and admitted to being starstruck by the Indian cricketer's presence. "So, I will say him because of that encounter," Vickers told News18. However, when asked if he had interacted with Kohli, Vickers confessed that he was too nervous to approach him.
Vickers's connection to Indian culture through cricket
The Melbourne-born actor also talked about his link to Indian culture, which he credits to his involvement in cricket. He mentioned that his introduction to Bollywood came through Australian fast bowler Brett Lee's musical collaboration with legendary singer Asha Bhosle on the song "You're The One For Me." Despite missing out on a promotional trip to India for The Rings of Power, Vickers shared that his co-stars spoke highly of their experiences in the country.
