    What's the story

Jurgen Klopp's men defeated Leicester City 2-1 and are now sitting at the top of the Premier League table.

While Liverpool did manage to win, like their last match against Brighton, they missed a number of easy chances that could have landed in the back of the net.

Further, Alisson conceded a 'silly' goal in the second half.

    Here is our match report.

    Liverpool

Liverpool should stop squandering away chances

Liverpool should have scored at least four goals in the match but are going away with a margin of one.

Liverpool started strong and had some good chances early on in the game.

Salah missed a sitter which should have been Liverpool's opening goal.

However, Mane converted just minutes later, latching on to a cross from Andrew Robertson.

Firmino added another in 45th minute.

    Leicester

Leicester City put up a brave performance

Leicester kept a decent amount of possession in the first half and even looked threatening every now and then.

The second half saw more or less even amount of possession with both teams creating chances.

Leicester's efforts finally came to fruition following an Alisson Becker howler.

He got caught out on the ball, and the consequent cross saw Ghezzal pull one back for Leicester.
