Football: How will Liverpool line up for the next season?
Liverpool have played some exceptional football this season, which helped them to reach the finale of the Champions League. The Reds have a fantastic attacking trio who can score goals at will. But it is their defense that needs some work this summer. With Klopp going all out in the summer transfer window, here is how Liverpool could potentially line up next season.
Roma's Alisson Becker
After a horrendous show by Loris Karius during the Champions League final, there is no doubt that Liverpool need to find a new goal-keeper. AS Roma's Alisson Becker is the likely candidate to join the Merseyside outfit. He won't come cheap and Liverpool will have to do some convincing but he is the right man for the Reds.
Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Lovren and Robertson
Liverpool's defense was a joke until they signed Dutch ace Virgil van Dijk. The 26-year-old has been solid at the back which has improved Liverpool's defensive standards. Alexander-Arnold and Robertson have been excellent, this season, on the flanks. They should retain their spot in the XI next season, despite their limited experience.
Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita and Fabinho
Mid-field is where most of the changes have been incorporated with the signing of Naby Keita from Germany's RB Leipzig and Fabinho from France's AS Monaco. Liverpool's mid-field lacked steel last season. However, with Keita's relentless energy and Fabinho's skill, Liverpool should have no worries going forward. They would push for more goals.
Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane
Liverpool fantastic three have scored 57 goals between them, last season, in the Premier League. With such an impressive record, Klopp would make no changes to his front-line. The Red's will be hoping Mo Salah can continue his mind blowing form next season and Sadio Mane can add more goals .
