Police investigate death threats received by Loris Karius

Liverpool fans were left heartbroken after the Reds succumbed to a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
Further, fans were extremely unhappy about sloppy goal-keeping by Loris Karius which cost them two goals.
Now reports have emerged that the Police are investigating the death threats that the German has been receiving since the Champions League final.

Karius and his family have been subject to death threats after his two errors cost Liverpool the Champions League title.
Karius did not do it intentionally and was in tears after the final whistle.
He even apologized to the fans for his sloppy performance.
However, some fans are not letting it go and are trying to make life difficult for the German.

"We take social media posts of this nature extremely seriously. Offences will be investigated. Police would like to remind social media users that any offences including malicious communications and threatening behaviour will be investigated." the Police said.

The German first gifted Karim Benzema a free goal to open the proceedings.
He also let Gareth Bale's shot slip through his arms which gave Real Madrid a 2 goal lead.
Karius needed consoling from his team-mates and Madrid players after the match.
He even admitted in the post-match interview that it was him who cost Liverpool the game.
