Football: Klopp pens glowing tribute to Mo Salah
Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp has penned a heartfelt letter for his star forward Mohamed Salah. The Reds boss couldn't attend Liverpool's end-of-season awards but he made sure that his presence was felt with this glowing tribute. Mo Salah scooped the Player of the Season and Players' Player of the Season awards at the ceremony in Anfield.
Klopp claims stardom hasn't changed Salah
"Mo is someone who sets an example of how to approach life and how to treat others...he is gentle and humble, despite being the international superstar he is now. The attention and acclaim has not changed him even by 0.01% percent."
Klopp claims Salah is a role model for many
"I read and hear about him being a wonderful role model for Egypt, North Africa, for the wider Arabic world and for Muslims. This, of course, is true -- but he is a role model FULL STOP. Regardless of race or religion."
Salah's record breaking season can get better
Ever since his move from Roma to Liverpool, Salah has scored 42 goals in 45 games while bagging 13 assists so far. 31 of these goals have come in the Premier League, while 10 have come in the Champions League. With one more game to go in the Premier League and Liverpool still to play the Champions League final, Salah can add more goals.
Klopp should be credited for Salah's rise
Salah's rise to prominence can be credited to the style of football Liverpool play under Jurgen Klopp. Klopp's high-press heavy-metal football has benefited Salah a lot. His pace is perfect to catch teams on the counter-attack.
