Litton Das registers his second Test hundred against Pakistan: Stats
Bangladesh's star wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das has recorded his second-highest score in Test cricket. He played a knock of character on Day 3 of the ongoing second and final Test against Pakistan at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Litton stitched a 165-run stand with Mehidy Hasan Miraz after the Tigers were reduced to 26/6. Meanwhile, this was Litton's second Test hundred against Pakistan.
A remarkable effort from Litton
Responding to Pakistan's first innings score of 274, the hosts were off to a horrendous start. Litton and Mehidy put up a stellar fight following a top-order collapse. Both batters played with great intent before Mehidy fell for 78. Litton, however, went on to complete his hundred. He ended up scoring a 228-ball 138 (13 fours, 4 sixes) as Bangladesh finished at 262/10.
2,600 runs up for Litton
As per ESPNcricinfo, Litton has now raced to 2,655 runs in 43 Tests at 36.87, a tally that includes 17 half-centuries besides four tons. His highest score in the format reads 141. Against Pakistan, he has completed 480 runs across five matches at 60. The tally includes two fifties and as many tons. Litton also completed 1,177 away Test runs at 33.62.
Historic partnership between the duo
Mehidy and Litton became the first pair to add 150 runs for the seventh or lower wicket from a team total of under 50 runs (Tests). This is also the second time in Test history that a team has had two 150-plus partnerships for the seventh wicket or lower in a series. Mehidy and Mushfiqur Rahim added 196 in the first Test as well.

As per ESPNcricinfo, Litton became just the second Bangladesh player to complete 2,000 (now 2,088) Test runs as a designated wicketkeeper-batter. He joined his current teammate Mushfiqur Rahim, who has 3,515 runs in this regard. Three of Litton's four Test centuries have come as a designated keeper.
