Fourth-most IPL runs at a venue
David Warner loved batting at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium during his stint with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The left-handed batter has scored 1,623 runs from 32 matches at an incredible average of 64.92 in the IPL at this venue. Warner also has a healthy strike rate in this regard (160.53). These are the fourth-most IPL runs by a batter at a venue.
Three-time Orange Cap winner
Warner is the only player to claim the Orange Cap more than twice (2015, 2017, 2019) in the IPL. He missed out on one despite scoring as many as 848 runs in the 2016 season. This is because Virat Kohli slammed a record-breaking 973 runs that season. Warner 562, 641, and 692 runs in 2015, 2017, and 2019, respectively.
Only overseas batter with this record
Warner remains the only overseas batter with 1,000+ runs against multiple opponents in the IPL (Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders). Overall, only Kohli and Rohit Sharma own this feat.
Warner leads this tally of overseas players
As many as 3,301 of Warner's total IPL runs have come in the Powerplay (Overs 0-6). He averages 47.84 and has a strike rate of 138.52 in this regard. Notably, Warner has the most runs in this phase among foreign players. He is miles ahead of his rivals, with Chris Gayle being closest. The latter has 2,336 IPL runs in the first six overs.
