Scholes has pretty harsh words for Lukaku, Sanchez, and Pogba
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes is not in a good mood after seeing his beloved club performing miserably in the Premier League. Scholes has lashed out at players like Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, and Alexis Sanchez for their poor performance with the cub. He believes these three players are lacking in the spirit that is associated with Manchester United. Details follow.
Scholes does not think Sanchez can be of much use
Alexis Sanchez earns £505,000 a week from Manchester United and has scored four goals in his 25 appearances. Scholes thinks Sanchez was only signed in order to prevent Manchester City from getting their hands on him. Scholes also believes Sanchez is not worth that much money, and that he is not fit to be a United player, and is somewhat selfish.
The legendary number 18 did not spare Romelu Lukaku
Regarding Lukaku, Scholes said that he never thought the Belgian was good enough for a club like Manchester United. Scholes said he is unsure whether anybody could win the league with a striker like Lukaku, and that the Belgian's game outside the box is substandard. He also isn't sure if Lukaku does work hard enough, and pointed out the striker's lack of confidence.
Paul Pogba has fallen off grace for Scholes
World Cup winner and Manchester United's star man Paul Pogba also received slack from Scholes. Scholes highlighted the contradictory nature of his performances. Pogba does some of the best things in games, and just five minutes later he will do the most ridiculous thing. Scholes pointed out that such was not the case at Juventus because Pogba could be controlled then.
Scholes is afraid Rashford and Martial might leave United
Mourinho is not using youngsters enough and this might drive away players like Martial and Marcus, Scholes contemplated. Mourinho has not been using these two players regularly, and Scholes believes they should be given more playing time to help build their confidence. He is afraid that these two huge stars-in-making might leave the club and find success elsewhere.
