Rohit should have been included in Wisden's list: VVS Laxman
Former Indian batsman VVS Laxman voiced his opinion as opener Rohit Sharma was left out of the recently announced Wisden's list of five players. Laxman believes World Cup is a greater stage to perform than Ashes and hence Rohit's terrific performance should have been acknowledged. Ben Stokes and Ellyse Perry were named the leading Cricketers of 2019 by Wisden Almanack. Here is more.
World Cup performances bigger than that of Ashes, feels Laxman
"I think anyone who follows the game of cricket will be surprised and shocked not to see Rohit Sharma's name in those five players list. World Cup is bigger than Ashes. I am really shocked and surprised by this announcement from Wisden," Laxman said.
Rohit Sharma was the leading run-scorer in World Cup 2019
Indian opener Rohit Sharma had a successful run in the World Cup 2019, having finished as the highest run-scorer.
