Dravid picks this as greatest Indian innings ever played
Legend Rahul Dravid has had his say on the greatest Indian innings ever played by an individual. The former Indian skipper, who has been in the mix for dishing out some of the best knocks in cricket, picked VVS Laxman's epic 281 against Australia at the Eden Gardens as the best. Dravid said the same at the launch of Laxman's autobiography '281 and Beyond.'

Dravid, who was at the crease along with Laxman, went on to pick this innings as the most significant one by an Indian. "Without a doubt, I think, the 281 was probably one of the most significant and greatest innings played by an Indian cricketer, in terms of the context, the consequence, the innings was played in."
I really had the best seat in the house: Dravid
Dravid felt that he had the best seat in the house to witness such a special innings. "I really had the best seat in the house for the greatest Indian innings ever played," said the legend. For Dravid, the visualization of Laxman's innings against Australia in the historical Test is something special. Dravid remembered the manner in which Laxman set himself up.
India sealed a memorable win at Eden
Dravid had smashed 180 in that Test and stitched a commanding 376-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Laxman. That changed the complexion of the match as India went on to win by 171 runs. Australia managed 445 in the first innings. In reply, India were bowled out for 171. India were asked to bat again and posted 657/7. Aussies were folded 212 runs.
