Barcelona continue their winning streak with 3-0 win against Girona
La Liga table toppers Barcelona continued their winning run by beating Girona 3-0 in an away match. This was the 6th consecutive victory for the Catalan giants who are yet to drop a point. First two of the goals were home side's own goals with the third one from Luis Suarez. As it stands, Barcelona are four points ahead of second-placed Atletico Madrid.
Real Madrid register a much-needed victory
Dani Ceballos scored a brace in his first league start for Real Madrid contributing to the 2-1 win over Alaves. Bouncing back from a mid-week loss to Real Betis, the Madrid club managed to stay in the top 4 of the La Liga standings. Yet to return to their glowing form as that of last season, Real are seven points behind league rivals Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid thump Sevilla 2-0
Atletico Madrid defeated Sevilla 2-0 in their second match at new home Wanda Metropolitano, keeping pace with Barcelona. Yannick Carrasco and Antoine Griezmann scored for Atletico, which remains unbeaten in the six matches played so far. The resilient Diego Simeone's side only dropped points when they drew against Girona and Valencia in the away matches. With this defeat Sevilla moved to third place.
Fight to get into top 4
With a match in hand each, Valencia, Levante, Real Sociedad, and Real Betis, all at 9 points, will fight for a place in top 4. The 4th-placed Real Madrid has 11 points.
