La Liga: Barca beat Valencia to set new unbeaten record
What's the story
La Liga leaders Barcelona eked out a 2-1 win against Valencia to extend their unbeaten run in the League.
With this victory, Barca have remain unbeaten in their last 39 matches.
Luis Suarez and Samuel Umtiti helped Barca go ahead before Valencia stole a goal back with Parejo scoring a penalty.
Barca overtook Real Sociedad's record of 38-match unbeaten run in 1978-79 and 1979-80.
New champions
Barca well on course for a domestic double
Although Barcelona have been knocked out of the Champions League, Barcelona have the chance to go all out in sealing both La Liga and Copa del Rey.
They need seven more points to bag La Liga and also become the new invincible side if they win/draw their remaining league games.
They also face Sevilla next week in the final of the Copa del Rey.
