KXIP vs MI: How to pick the winning Fantasy XI?
Kings XI Punjab take on Mumbai Indians, who are in a must-win scenario in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. Fourth placed KXIP could go higher with a victory. For MI, they need a win at any cost. With superstars in both the teams, who would you have in your Fantasy XI? Here we give you the tips regarding the same.
Chris Gayle the skipper, Rohit his deputy
With the form the West Indian player has been in, Chris Gayle gets the nod as the skipper of the side. He can take away the game at any given stage. We prevail with Rohit Sharma in the side despite his low-scoring form. In big games, he can still make the difference and is our pick as the vice-captain.
Lokesh Rahul leads the batting charge
Besides Gayle and Rohit, we have opted for three batsmen in the form of Lokesh Rahul, Karun Nair and Suryakumar Yadav. Rahul has been in rich form as an opener for KXIP. Same goes for Yadav, who time and time again has shown he can be counted upon. Karun Nair comes in as a trusted middle-order batsman.
Pandya brothers in the all-round mix
Pandya brothers Hardik and Krunal form the impetus of the side as all-rounders. Hardik has picked eleven wickets so far and hit a fifty in the previous game. Krunal too has the ability to pick wickets and be handy with the bat. KXIP skipper R Ashwin is the third all-rounder in the side. The experienced player is crucial as a bowler.
Spinner Mujeeb the one to watch out for
We have gone with three quality bowlers in the side. Leading the line is 17-year-old Afghanistan sensation, Mujeeb Ur Rahman. He has been exceptional so far for KXIP both with wickets and economy rate. MI's Mayank Markande has been another young revelation in IPL 2018 and the leg-spinner with 11 wickets gets the nod. Kiwi star Mitchell McClenaghan fills up as the lone pacer.
