Sri Lanka's Kusal Mendis hammers his 10th Test century: Stats
Sri Lankan batting ace Kusal Mendis slammed a solid unbeaten 106 runs versus New Zealand on Day 2 of the 2nd Test in Galle. Mendis walked in when Lanka lost overnight batter Angelo Mathews, who added just 10 runs to his score of 78* on Day 1. Mendis, who joined Kamindu Mendis, added 200* runs for the 6th wicket as SL scored 602/5d.
3rd centurion in the innings for Sri Lanka
Mendis found joy on a good surface like rest of the Lankan batters barring Pathum Nissanka. He became the third centurion for SL in the first innings after Dinesh Chandimal and Kamindu, who scored 116 and 182* runs respectively. Mendis scored an aggressive 106* from 149 balls. He slammed six fours and three sixes. His stand alongside Kamindu floored a sorry New Zealand side.
2nd ton for Mendis versus NZ; 2,000 runs at home
