Records held by Kuldeep Yadav in limited-overs
Indian cricket team's left-arm wrist spinner, Kuldeep Yadav was, once again, in top form as he decimated England in the first T20I of the three-match series on Tuesday. Kuldeep picked his maiden fifer at Old Trafford, Manchester as India gained a 1-0 lead. The player is making a serious name for himself and here we look at his form and records.
Kuldeep's start to T20Is has been promising
Spin wizard Kuldeep Yadav delivered a stunning spell of 5/24 in 1st T20I and started his tour of England on a prime note. He had earlier picked 7 wickets against Ireland last month. In 11 matches, Kuldeep has 24 wickets to his name in this format. With another two games to go, he could be the difference between India and England.
Kuldeep revels against England to script records
Kuldeep became the third Indian bowler to record a five-wicket haul for India in T20Is after Yuzvendra Chahal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He became the first bowler to get two batsmen stumped off successive deliveries in T20Is, after dismissing Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow for noughts. He also became the second bowler in T20Is to take a fifer on English soil.
Kuldeep and Chahal a prime force
Kuldeep joined Yuzvendra Chahal to clinch three consecutive 3-wicket hauls in T20Is for India. The duo have been excellent in 2018 and have continued their form of last year. They had picked 13 wickets against Ireland and could eye more against the Englishmen.
ODI records held by Kuldeep
He is the first India spinner to take a hat-trick in ODIs. He achieved it against Australia in 2017. He also became the 3rd Indian ever to claim a hat-trick. Kuldeep also holds the record of picking the most wickets in an ODI bilateral series in South Africa by any bowler. Kuldeep took 17 wickets in the six-match ODI series with Chahal picking 16.
