Kuldeep Yadav pays emotional tribute to Shane Warne at MCG
Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav recently visited the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) where he paid an emotional tribute to his idol, the late Australian cricket legend Shane Warne. During his visit, Yadav expressed his deep connection with Warne and shared how much he misses him. "Shane Warne was my idol, and I had a very strong connection with him," said Yadav at MCG.
Yadav's emotional reaction to Warne's demise
Yadav revealed his emotional turmoil following Warne's demise, comparing it to losing a family member. "I still get emotional when I think about Warnie—it feels like I've lost someone from my family," he said. This is not the first time Yadav has openly expressed his feelings about Warne's death. He previously shared on the Breakfast with Champions YouTube show that he was in shock and had cried upon hearing the news.
Warne's advice helped Yadav regain confidence post-injury
Yadav, who has been performing exceptionally well since his return from a knee injury, credits Warne's advice for helping him regain his rhythm and confidence. He recalled a conversation with Warne ahead of the Sydney Test in 2019, where the Australian legend encouraged him to enjoy his game regardless of the outcome. This guidance from Warne played a significant role in boosting Yadav's morale during his cricketing journey.
