Rishabh Pant released to play Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
What's the story
The BCCI selection committee has decided to release youngster Rishabh Pant from the Indian cricket team squad in order to get some game time.
Pant, who is India's second choice keeper after Wriddhiman Saha, will feature in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Meanwhile, Andhra keeper-batsman KS Bharat will be Saha's understudy in the ongoing Day-Night Test between India and Bangladesh.

Bharat has featured regularly for India A in red ball matches.
He has finally got some consolation for his consistent performances during the last two seasons.
The talented keeper-batsman has scored 3,909 runs in 69 First-Class games with eight hundreds and 20 fifties which includes a triple hundred.
The 26-year-old has also done reasonably well in List A cricket as well.

"Rishabh will be playing all the six matches (3 T20s and 3 ODIs) against the West Indies. The selectors thought it's only prudent that he goes and plays in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Delhi," a senior BCCI source told PTI.

"I got a call and was asked to join the team I'm reaching at 8.30 today. I am looking forward to share the dressing room with my idol Virat Bhai," said Bharat.

This was a smart move by the BCCI selection committee. Pant will be playing the complete limited-overs series against West Indies next month and this will help him get some desired practice. He will be eyeing to score runs for Delhi.
