#IndiaInEngland: Krunal Pandya, Deepak Chahar called up for England T20Is
All-rounder Krunal Pandya's long wait has finally come to an end after the 27-year-old Pandya Sr. and Deepak Chahar were called up to the Indian national squad. They will replace injured Washington Sundar and Jasprit Bumrah for the T20I series against England. The duo will join the squad ahead of the series, which is scheduled to begin on July 3 in Manchester.
Injury rules out Bumrah and Sundar out of T20I series
Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah picked up a thumb injury and has been ruled out of the T20I series. On the other hand, all-rounder Washington Sundar suffered an ankle injury and will miss out on the ODI series as well. Axar Patel has been called up to replace Sundar in the three-match ODI series against England, which will follow three T20I matches.
Krunal and Deepak were a part of India A squad
Krunal had an impressive IPL campaign and is also a part of India 'A' squad touring UK. Deepak Chahar was one of the key performers for CSK. He was called for India 'A' ODI series involving West Indies A and England Lions. Chahar has bagged 7 wickets in the series so far. This is a great opportunity for these two to showcase their abilities.
