The debate about who is the GOAT between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is never-ending, as athletes, from across sports, keep giving their verdict on the same. Meanwhile, Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli has, over the years, expressed his admiration for Ronaldo. However, on being asked about who is better between the two, here is what he said.
Kohli labels Messi as a 'freak'
Speaking on his pick between Ronaldo and Messi, Kohli called Messi a 'freak', and described him as a natural talent. However, he kept Ronaldo ahead for his will to put in the effort every minute. "Ronaldo's drive separates him from everyone else. Playing at the top level, everyone has talent, but I don't think anyone has the will that he has," he told TOI.
Kohli terms Ronaldo as the most complete player
"Tough question. But, I would say Cristiano is the most complete player that I have seen. Whether it's the left foot, right foot, speed or dribbling skills, he's amazing. I have not seen a better goal scorer," added Kohli.
Kohli terms Brazilian Ronaldo as revolutionary
"(Ronaldo) The Phenomenon, on the other hand, was something else. He revolutionized the sport and everyone followed him. His place is special, but if I had to take only one in my team who will give energy and intensity, it's Cristiano," concluded Kohli.
