Indian cricketing icon, Virat Kohli was honored by the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) on January 31, during a ceremony at Arun Jaitley Stadium, following the second day of the Delhi vs Railways Ranji Trophy match.
The DDCA honored Kohli for his incredible feat of playing 100 Tests in international cricket.

Kohli's 100-Test milestone: A look back
The achievement of 100 Test appearances puts Kohli in an elite club, making him only the 11th Indian cricketer to achieve the milestone.
Kohli made his Test debut in 2011, and since then has played 123 Tests, with the most Test appearances coming in 2018 (13).
Meanwhile, the felicitation ceremony took place at Arun Jaitley Stadium, which was packed with fans excited to see Kohli being honored for his amazing contribution to international cricket.

DDCA President Rohan Jaitley presented Kohli with a shawl and memento during the ceremony, which was also attended by Kohli's former coach Rajkumar Sharma.
However, despite playing a Test at his home ground during the 2023 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, no similar recognition had been given to him at that time.
Comeback performance
Kohli's Ranji Trophy return ends cheaply
Kohli made his return to the Ranji Trophy after more than 12 years, but his first innings lasted just 15 balls.
The early dismissal sparked further debate about his form.
Despite the setback, around 5,000 spectators attended to watch him, though many left after Railways pacer Himanshu Sangwan dismissed him in the 28th over of Delhi's first innings.

Kohli touches coach Rajkumar Sharma's feet during felicitation ceremony
In a touching gesture, Kohli sought blessings from his childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, by touching his feet.
Kohli then embraced Sharma, who was seen smiling with pride as he watched the former being honored for his 100 Test matches achievement.
Notably, Kohli is one of only three players from Delhi to have played 100 or more Tests for India, alongside fast bowler Ishant Sharma (105) and opener Virender Sehwag (104).

Delhi captain Badoni falls for 99 on Day 2
Delhi's skipper Ayush Badoni fell one run short of a century on the second day of their Ranji match against Railways.
Badoni fell after misjudging a slog sweep off Karn Sharma, having scored 99 runs off 77 balls.
The 25-year-old was made Delhi's captain after the fourth round of this Ranji season, replacing Himmat Singh who has been out of form.
Notably, according to ESPNcricinfo, Badoni has surpassed 1,000 runs (now 1,063) in FC cricket with this knock.

Delhi are 334/7 at stumps
Delhi resumed Day 2 on 41/1 and lost their wicket in the form of Yash Dhull.
Sangwan then sent Kohli and opener Sanat Sangwan packing in quick succesion.
However, a vital 133-run partnership for Badoni with Sumit Mathur for the fifth wicket, helped Delhi.
For Railways, Himanshu and Kunal Yadav both managed two wickets each.
At stumps, Delhi lead by 93 runs (334/7), while Mathur and Siddhant Sharma remain unbeaten.
