Kohli, who brought up his hundred off 187 deliveries, completed 3,000 Test runs in India. He also blasted past 1,000 Test runs in 2018 and is the leading run-scorer. He also notched the record of being the second fastest to 24 tons and the quickest since Sir Donald Bradman. Kohli took 123 innings to achieve the feat. Don did the same in 66 innings.
Kohli shares two century stands in 1st Test
Kohli is now the 4th highest centurion in Tests for India. He has 17 as skipper. He equaled Cheteshwar Pujara in going past 3,000 runs on home soil in terms of innings (53). The skipper shared two century stands in this Test match. He shared a 105-run stand with Ajinkya Rahane on Day 1. He then added another 133 runs with Rishabh Pant (92).
