Raman is a pharmacist residing in Melbourne, Australia
First things first, Raman belongs to a Tamil family (and hence the Tamil wedding card) that is now based out of Australia. A pharmacist by profession practicing in Melbourne, Raman is the second daughter of Venkat Raman and Vijayalakshmi Raman, as per reports. She has an elder sister, Madhu, with whom she shares various posts on her Instagram handle.
They got engaged to marry in February 2020
So how did the love birds meet? While the exact year is cloudy, Raman had reportedly met Maxwell at a Melbourne Stars (a Big Bash League team) event. The rumor is, sparks flew and the two have been dating ever since. Their first picture on the internet together can be traced back to 2017. It was in February 2020 that the couple got engaged.
Did they begin planning wedding in March 2020?
Announcing engagement, Maxwell had shared a selfie with Raman, where the latter flaunted her diamond ring. Further, Raman had posted various pictures from their Indian-style engagement ceremony. According to the pharmacist's Instagram account, a wedding was being planned sometime as far back as March 2020 but presumably, the COVID-19 pandemic fouled those plans. But now, the pair is finally catching up with the schedule.
Maxwell will once again play for RCB this IPL season
Coming to Maxwell's career, he was retained by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise for Rs. 11 crore, along with Virat Kohli (Rs. 15 crore) and Mohammed Siraj (Rs. 7 crore). Thus, the all-rounder will represent the team in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. He might miss a couple of initial games though, given IPL is reported to begin on March 27.
