#GamingBytes: Fortnite's PC requirements undergo change; Here's what Season-10 brings
Ahead of its upcoming season 10, Fortnite has made some changes to its basic playing requirements. The 'free to download and play' game will no longer support DirectX 10 graphics cards from August, when the new season releases (probably August 2). Graphics Cards having DirectX 11 and above will be the only compatible ones with Fortnite. Here's how it will affect players.
Should you be worried about the change?
Not at all. If your computer can run Fortnite, it's highly possible that it could be running either an Nvidia graphics card or an AMD card. Any card that released post-2010 will be fine to run DirectX 11. This applies to both Nvidia and AMD. Epic has announced this change to optimize the game for all players in a uniform fashion.
Here's what we know about Season 10
Not many details have been released about the upcoming season, but we're sure that it'll have a futuristic theme. Speculations have been rife ever since a giant eye appeared in Polar Peak mountain. It could be an eye of a giant monster that could feature in the upcoming season. This could also be related to the dragon eggs that appeared back in Season 7.
'Fortnite' has been in news for some wrong reasons lately
Recently, Prince Harry had said, "It's created to addict and keep you in front of the computer for as long as possible," about the game. This led to a debate on video game addiction. The British government recently called upon developers like Epic and EA, and questioned them about the addictive nature of their games. They also interrogated Google, Instagram, and YouTube.
