Epic Games' new Avengers: Endgame crossover ties the popular game Fortnite together with fan-favorite MCU characters. There are two sides: Humanity and Army of Thanos
What is a massive superhero battle without an army? On one side stand the Chitauri, whose goal is to collect the Infinity Stones for their leader, Thanos. His powers increase with the number of stones he gets. The other side, heroes have to stop the Chitauri from getting the Stones. The Chitauri have a hundred lives and killing them results in the heroes' win.
Here's what Thanos does in the game
When the first Chitauri member picks an Infinity Stone, it goes to Thanos. This keeps on repeating until the last one dies. The Reality Stone increases health and doubles shields, Soul Stone activates siphons, Mind Stone lets you jump higher, Space Stone increases damage, and Time Stone adds a knock-back to your hits. The army of Thanos gets jet-packs and energy shooting guns.
The heroes have some interesting weapons of their own
The game features a number of heroic weapons from the Marvel Universe. These can be accessed with the help of the treasure map in your inventory. Once you reach the designated place, you can get Hawkeye's bow, Thor's Stormbreaker, Captain America's shield, and more. There are other weapons in the game as well and it is a good idea to find them ASAP.
Here's how you can win the game
If you are playing as the heroes, ensure that you eliminate all the Chitauri or at least reach the location of stones. Another tactic is slowing them down by building a structure near the infinity stones. When playing as Chitauri, keep in mind that your goal isn't to kill the heroes but to collect the stones. Be tactful and focus on securing the stones.
Is this crossover mode actually any good?
Yes. It is definitely great and super fun to play. You have the choice to play from two different sides with an assortment of interesting weapons. You are more than a Battle Royale character. You are a soldier in a massive battle. The crossover seamlessly integrates Avengers with Fortnite and the result is as good as it sounds. Also, you can watch Thanos dance!
