Recalling KL Rahul's best knocks in Indian Premier League
What's the story
Star batter KL Rahul will play for the Delhi Capitals in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL).
He fetched a massive ₹14 crore from the franchise in the mega auction.
It was the first time since the IPL 2018 auction that Rahul was up for bidding.
He has been phenomenal since the 2018 season as he represented Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants in this period.
Here we revisit his best IPL knocks.
#1
51 (16) vs Delhi Daredevils, 2018
In 2018, Rahul displayed his batting prowess by scoring the then-fastest IPL half-century off just 14 deliveries against Delhi Daredevils (now Capitals).
His explosive knock of 51 runs from 16 balls, including six fours and four sixes, meant Punjab comfortably accomplished the 167-run target in Mohali.
This performance is remembered as one of his most impactful innings in the tournament.
#2
98 (42)* vs Chennai Super Kings, 2021
Rahul's absolute domination against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2021 is another highlight of his IPL career.
He smashed a quickfire 98* off just 42 balls as Punjab (139/4) chased down the total with seven overs to spare in Dubai.
This innings, laced with seven fours and eight sixes, further established him as one of the best batsmen to watch in the tournament.

Rahul's twin centuries against Mumbai Indians in 2022
As the captain of the newly formed Lucknow Super Giants in 2022, Rahul led from the front with two brilliant centuries against Mumbai Indians.
His first century, a well-paced 103* off 60 balls, set up a win for Lucknow at Mumbai's Brabourne Stadium.
Just eight days later, he repeated his feat with an unbeaten 103* off 62 balls against the same opposition, securing a resounding victory for his team at the Wankhede Stadium.

132* (69) vs RCB, 2020
Rahul's arguably most memorable IPL knock came in 2020 when he scored a record-breaking 132 off just 69 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Dubai.
This remains the highest individual score by an Indian batter in the IPL as the Punjab Kings skipper tormented RCB bowlers that day.
His belligerent knock, which included 14 fours and seven sixes, helped his team post a massive total of 206/3, setting up a comprehensive victory.
