IPL 2019: KKR beat KXIP- Here are the records broken
Former champions Kolkata Knight Riders continued their winning momentum in the IPL 2019 as they beat Kings XI Punjab by a massive margin of 28 runs in match number six at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday. Batting first, KKR put up a mammoth total of 218/4, courtesy of three blistering knocks. In reply, KXIP succumbed to pressure as they failed to chase it down.

Being asked to bat first, KKR rode on Robin Uthappa (67*), Nitish (63) and Andre Russell's (48) brisk knocks to post the highest IPL total at their home venue. In reply, KXIP openers fell early, as David Miller's (59*) hard-hitting show wasn't enough in the end. Other KXIP batsmen meekly surrendered to the bowlers. The win took KKR to the top of the table.
Ashwin scripts an unwanted record
KXIP skipper Ravichandran Ashwin had a bad day at the office today. He delivered the second worst performance of his IPL career, as he got smacked for 47 runs against KKR tonight. His figures read 4-0-47-0. His worst performance had come against Sunrisers Hyderabad, when he had conceded 53 runs in 2018. Apart from him, Mohammed Shami also became a victim of Russell's carnage.
Nitish Rana smashes most sixes for KKR against KXIP
Rookie Indian opener Nitish went big on Wednesday as he played a sensational innings of 63. Interestingly, he also belted the most number of sixes for KKR against KXIP to date. His innings was laced with seven sixes and it helped him eclipse the joint record earlier held by Sourav Ganguly (2008) and Manish Pandey (2014).

Once again, Andre Russell acted as the perfect finisher for KKR, as he played a 17-ball 48 run innings. Interestingly, he hit eight boundaries in a row as the scorecard read 6 4 4 6 6 6 6 4. He also took two wickets.
