KKR vs DC: Tips to pick the winning Dream11
The IPL 2019 is almost half-way through. Match number 26 is set to witness Kolkata Knight Riders taking on Delhi Capitals at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata on Friday. While KKR have been in lethal form, DC seem to have returned to their old ways. Sitting at sixth spot, DC would look to upset KKR tomorrow. Meanwhile, here we pick the Fantasy XI.
Rishabh Pant: The man behind the stumps
Starting with the wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant is the right man to don the big gloves, owing to his ability to play big innings. While he could not fire in the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he is a better hitter than Dinesh Karthik and that's why he gets the nod. Eden, being a better track than Kotla, would allow him to deliver the goods.
Chris Lynn, Shreyas Iyer form batting line-up
As for the batsmen, the order is likely to start with explosive opener Chris Lynn. He has shown glimpses of his fireworks and we expect him to continue in the same vein. He would be supported by DC skipper Shreyas Iyer, who was the top scorer in the last game. The batting line-up will also consist of KKR's Nitish and DC's Shaw.
Andre Russell and Chris Morris to headline all-round department
The all-rounder department has to be headlined by KKR's explosive trump card Andre Russell, who has been in form of his life. Even in a low scoring game against CSK, he slammed a half-century, once again proving his worth. He would be supported by DC's bowling all-rounder Chris Morris. He has been a consistent wicket-taker for the side, and can also bat when needed.
Kuldeep Yadav, Kagiso Rabada form dream bowling attack
Considering the bowling attack, KKR's Kuldeep Yadav makes the list for his exquisite ability to spin. His team-mate, pacer Prasidh Krishna, is likely to support him. He has been in good form of late. Pacer Kagiso Rabada has to be in the side. In the first-leg, Rabada helped DC clinch a Super Over thriller against KKR. Sandeep Lamichhane is the final name in XI.
Pant the skipper, Russell his deputy
The leadership roles must lie with the top stars. Therefore, Pant is the right candidate to be the captain of this XI, considering his ability to finish off games. He owes DC a big innings. As for the vice-captain, Russell is the right man, owing to his big-hitting skills, and being an all-rounder, he can claim a couple of wickets as well.
