
KKR to host all IPL home matches at Eden Gardens

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have decided to host all their home matches for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season at Eden Gardens. This is despite recent concerns over security.
The developement comes after a senior official of the Cricket Association of Bengal hinted that an upcoming match on April 6 between LSG and KKR might be relocated to Guwahati due to security issues.

Kolkata Police clarifies on match rescheduling
Addressing the rumors about shifting the April 6 match, Kolkata Police took to social media to clarify.
They wrote, "Certain misleading posts are being circulated regarding the proposed rescheduling of the IPL match on 6th April. Kolkata Police remains firmly committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens. All deployment decisions are made keeping public safety as the top priority."

KKR's stance on home matches
The Telegraph reported that KKR remains adamant on hosting all their home games at Eden Gardens. This adamant stand has led IPL organizers to explore other scheduling options, if security concerns continue.
A final decision on the same is expected next week.
Meanwhile, KKR hosted Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2025 opener on Saturday, where they suffered a seven-wicket defeat.
