In an interesting event, two New Zealand domestic batsmen broke the List A world record for the most number of runs scored off one over. The List A world record over of the duo read 4, 6+nb, 6+nb, 6, 1, 6, 6, 6. South Africa-born fast bowler Willem Ludick was the victim in this show. He ended with figures of 1/85.

Northern Districts hammer their opponent in style
The onslaught helped Northern Districts reach a staggering score of 7/313. Carter smashed a 66-ball 102, as Hampton struck a 66-ball 95. In the end, Northern Districts won the match by 25 runs. Dean Foxcroft, of Central Districts, saw his unbeaten 120 go in vain. The side managed 288/9 handing Northern Districts their first win of the season.

Elton Chigumbura's 39-run record broken
The previous record for the most runs in an over in List A was held by Zimbabwe's Elton Chigumbura (39). He was batting for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi against Abahani Ltd in a match in the Dhaka Premier League. The most runs scored in one over in international cricket is 36. Gibbs set the record in ODIs, whereas Yuvraj Singh got the same in T20Is.
