N'Golo Kante signs a deal with Chelsea till 2023
One of the best central mid-fielders working today, N'Golo Kante, has been enjoying an incredible journey ever since winning the Premier League club, Leicester City in 2015-16. Kante's comments on signing a new 5-year deal
Kante seems to be really happy about signing a new 5-year deal with Chelsea. "Since I came, I completely improved as a player, challenged myself and got some awards I never thought about. I like the city, I like the club and I am happy to be here for more time", he said. Kante also expressed that the two years at Chelsea were beautiful.
Kante has had an incredible journey
Kante has seen a meteoric rise in the world of football. He started at Caen in the season in which they managed to reach Ligue 1, and in 2015 joined Leicester City, with whom he won the EPL. Chelsea signed him next year, and he again won the Premier League, and to cap it off, his national team, France, won the 2018 World Cup.
Kante was earlier rumored to be shifting to PSG
Earlier, it was reported that the Frenchman's time at Chelsea was about to get over as Paris Saint-Germain had shown interest in the star. But Chelsea would never have parted easily with Kante as he has become the fulcrum of their team around which the game revolves. Kante is fast, he is great both defensively and while attacking, and thus is indispensable.
