Kanpur Test: Bumrah, Jadeja, Ashwin decimate Bangladesh in 2nd innings
India routed Bangladesh 2-0 in the two-match series after winning the 2nd Test by seven wickets. The hosts comfortably chased down 95 on Day 5 at Kanpur's Green Park. The Tigers were bundled out for 146 in the third innings after resuming the final day at 26/2. Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets each for India.
Indian bowlers shine on Day 5
Ashwin, who made the first three strikes, returned with 3/50 across 15 overs. His partner-in-crime Jadeja also dismissed three batters, conceding 34 runs in his 10-over spell. Bumrah scalped the last three wickets, finishing with 3/17 in 10 overs. While Akash Deep claimed 1/20 in eight overs, Mohammed Siraj delivered four wicketless overs for 19 runs.
Most wickets in 2023-25 WTC edition
Ashwin is now the highest wicket-taker in the 2023-25 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. He overtook Australia's Josh Hazlewood, who owns 51 WTC wickets. Meanwhile, the Indian off-spinner has snapped up 53 wickets from 10 Tests at an average of 21.18. His tally includes 5 five-wicket hauls and a four-fer. Overall, Ashwin has raced to 527 wickets in Test cricket.

Besides, Bumrah's art of cleaning up the tail continues. As per Cricbuzz, the right-arm seamer has 30 wickets at an incredible average of 10.03 with the old ball in home Tests (Overs 26 to 80).
Jadeja's historic feat from the match
Jadeja, with his only scalp in the first innings, became the seventh Indian with 300 wickets in Test cricket. He also became only the third Indian with the double of 300 wickets and 3,000 runs in Test cricket. The left-arm spinner now has 303 scalps from 74 Tests at an average of 23.87. His tally includes 13 fifers.
